A PERFECT CLIMATE FOR UNPARALLELED PRODUCE

Australia’s unique geography ranging from Mediterranean climates in the South East, unique flood plains such as the Lake Eyre across three states and the Northern Territory in central Australia make Australia one of the “breadbaskets” for grains and wheat in the world.

In many cases, due to a small population relative to other continents (25 million vs 330 million in the United States) Australia is a net exporter of sumptuous fruits, flavourful meat, quality grain, and delectable nuts.

With climates ranging from state to state and coast to coast, Australian wines take on unique characters due to their location. Varietals of Cabernet Sauvignon in the Barossa have a fuller body compared to those in Victoria; Chardonnay and other sparkling wines can range from toasty to sweet depending on how much sun and rain their vineyards gain per season.

Australia can be plagued by drought, which is managed carefully through water allocations and markets. This is put in place to ensure supply for farmers and growers around the country so they can maintain crops and cater for international demand.

A CONTINENT FOR A NATION IN PRIME POSITION FOR PRODUCE

Agriculture and horticulture is Australia’s first and most treasured industry; constant improvement in yields and quality has signalled to the world that quality Australian produce is the world’s favoured produce. Our history is built on crop farming and livestock grazing.

Much of the hinterland on the Eastern seaboard is fertile for crops of varying nature including succulent stone fruit, prime cuts of beef and lamb, luscious citrus, and even plump and juicy grapes for wine production.
